The 31-year-old reality star covered up her famous curves in a high necked floor length green velvet gown with white lace sequinned belt and shoulder panels.
With her hair piled on top of her head, Kim teamed smoky eye make-up and pale lipstick with her old-Hollywood style dress, with just a diamond bracelet in the way of jewellery.
Her mother opted for a rather ill fitting red one-shouldered dress and dangling diamond earrings, with her short dark hair teased into a spiky style.
Kim seemed very excited to be attending the star-studded event, which is held to honour the best of political journalism, with many of the invited news organisations inviting celebrities to take available seats at their tables.
