Red Carpet Report • The 2012 Billboard Music Awards

Last night, the 2012 Billboard Awards were held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. 


Miley Cyrus stepped out in a risky look, wearing an ivory jacket mini dress by Jean Paul Gaultier. The double-breasted jacket with nothing underneath was accessorized with striped sandals by Louboutin and Jacquie Aiche jewels. A voluminous ombre hairdo, kohl-rimmed eyes and pink lips completed this look. Nelly Furtado walked the white carpet in a white crochet dress by Alberta Ferretti. The Spring 2012 beaded dress was paired with black bra cups that peeked out of her dress, which contrasted with her white crochet statement necklace. Nude peep-toe pumps and spiked metal earrings styled her ensemble. A white manicure and a simple updo provided the finishing touches for Nelly's look. 

  

Julianne Hough looked beautiful in a sparkling crystal KaufmanFranco cocktail dress. The actress paired her gathered-and-draped silver dress with gold slingback peep-toes by Nicholas Kirkwood. Soft side-parted locks, very light make-up and dazzling H.Stern earrings with matching ring completed the look. Zooey Deschanel looked lovely at the BBM Awards last night, donning a silver embellished dress with cream trim from Moschino's Fall 2012 collection. It is a pity that the New Girl-actress couldn't resist her big love for her opaque tights, which were ridiculous with the high temperatures and white carpet. Zooey paired her tights with black Miu Miu pumps, which made her legs and feet blend together. I do like the new hairstyle the actress tried - she wore her hair up in a retro ponytail with blunt bangs. A bright coral lipstick and drop earrings finished her look. 

  

Brandy Norwood also attended the award show. The singer opted to wear a nude Hervé Léger by Max Azria Spring 2012 dress. The fringed bandage dress with metal accents was teamed with rose-gold Louboutin platform pumps with bow-accents and a leopard-print box clutch. Smoky eyes, a bunch of statement jewels and a voluminous curly hairdo provided the finishing touches for Brandy's look. Jordin Sparks stepped out in a pale pink lace dress by Diane von Furstenberg. The three-quarter-sleeve mini was styled with silver T-strap sandals and a silver embellished cuff bracelet with matching drop earrings. A gorgeous glossy red lip shade and a side-swept ponytail completed the singer's look. 

  

Carly Jae Repsen walked the white carpet in a nude drop-waist gown with pleated skirt. The gown with folded-accent on the sleeves was paired with a leather white clutch and emerald cocktail ring. A straight hairstyle with blunt bangs and a loveable rich red lip shade completed the singer's look. Carrie Underwood looked like a princess in an Oscar de la Renta Fall 2012 ballgown. The silver-and-pink tulle draped gown with strapless bodice was teamed with sparkly Oscar de la Renta peep-toe pumps and a pink clutch embellished with blue pearls and crystals, also by Oscar de la Renta. A curly hairstyle, statement eye make-up and a nude lip shade finished Carrie's look. 

  

Taylor Swift looked gorgeous at the white carpet, without opting for sparkle. The singer wore a beautiful red chiffon Elie Saab Pre-Fall 2012 gown. The sleeveless gown with thigh-high split and lace bodice was paired with Elie Saab pumps and Neil Lane jewels. A sleek straight hairstyle with bangs and smoky eyes provided the finishing touches for Taylor's look. Chrissy Teigen was also spotted on the white carpet. The singer looked pretty in a cherry red Georges Chakra Couture dress. The strapless dress with peplum-detail in the waist was paired with ankle-strap platform pumps and a silver tube clutch. This dress would have been gorgeous, if the styling would have been better. A ponytail with (too long) blunt bangs and pink lippie finished the look. 

  

Katy Perry looked pretty in a sequined Blumarine Fall 2012 gown with an open back. The icy lilac drop-waist bodice cascaded into an embellished chiffon skirt. The singer styled her dress with a stack of Misaki bangles. Dark purple curls and a deep-plum lip shade completed the look. I really dislike Katy's dark and heavy make-up with this light springy gown. Natasha Bedingfield walked the white carpet in a sheer pastel turquoise gown with strategically placed embellishments and sheer sleeves. The embellished bodice cascaded into a full tulle skirt. Natasha's blown-out hairstyle and coral lip shade finished the look. 

  

Julie Bowen hosted the 2012 Billboard Music Awards together with Modern Family co-star Ty Burrell. The actress stepped out in a black draped Doo.Ri. cocktail dress, from the Pre-Fall 2012 collection. The dress, with sheer yoke and glittery embellished center panel was teamed with black suede Jimmy Choo platform pumps. Cascading blonde curls and a pretty pink lip shade finished Julie's look. Alicia Keys graced the white carpet in a body-hugging long-sleeve Azzedine Alaia Couture gown. The patterned black gown was styled with gold hooped earrings by Repossi and Jennifer Fisher rings. A braided updo, red lips and a matching red manicure provided the finishing touches for the singer's looks.

Red Carpet Spot • Lana Del Rey at the 2012 Trophée Chopard Party

Along with Fan, Lana Del Rey walked the red carpet at the 2012 Trophée Chopard event during the Cannes Film Festival. 


The singer wore a simple ivory Moschino suit. Lana paired her suit with simple white sandals and a shiny silver box clutch. A stunning white gold Chopard necklace and earrings with rubellite tourmalines and a glossy hairstyle completed the look.

Red Carpet Report • The 2012 Jameson Empire Awards

The British stars came out to walk the red carpet at the 2012 Jameson Empire Awards in London last night. The event was held at the Grosvenor House Hotel.


Olivia Wilde was one of the first to hit the red carpet. The actress wore a polka-dot silk-chiffon gown by Carolina Herrera, from the Spring 2012 collection. The gown featured silver crystal embroideries and a pleated skirt. Olivia styled her gown with black pumps and a black Jimmy Choo clutch. How can you wear black pumps with such a light, flowy gown? Explanation please?! Celine Buckens looked young and fresh in a Moschino Cheap & Chic Spring 2012 look. She paired a floral-printed white dress with a matching colourful jacket. The young actress also sported nude T-strap sandals. A high ponytail completed Celine's look. 

  

Laura Haddock donned a black, lacy Emilio Pucci Pre-Fall 2o12 dress with scalloped hemline. The actress teamed her dress with black pointed-toe Louboutins, her hair was in a messy updo. Agyness Deyn returned to the red carpet in a red long-sleeved dress with purple embroideries by House of Holland Fall 2012. The model paired her dress with sheer tights and red platforms. A side-parted hairdo completed her look. 

  

Hayley Atwell walked the red carpet in a mint fitted dress by Roksanda Illinic, from the Spring 2012 collection. She paired her vibrant dress with contrasting coral Sergio Rossi pumps and Solange Azagury-Partridge jewelry. Bonnie Wright looked quite boring in a simple black Dolce & Gabbana Spring/Summer 2012 suit, wearing a lace twill vest underneath. She styled her look with patent leather platform pumps, also by D&G. Kohl-rimmed eyes and Wright & Teague Spring 2012 earrings completed her look.

  

Joanne Froggatt opted for a Spring 2012 look by Felder Felder. She paired her absract-printed look, including a white blouse and frilly aqua skirt, with white platform peep-toes and a white clutch. Is it just me or does that clutch look cheap? Statement eye make-up finished her look. Berenice Marlohe looked very sexy in a red figure-hugging Donna Karan dress. The dress with wrap-detailed bodice and sleek skirt looked beautiful on model and former Bond-girl!

Red Carpet Spot • Naya Rivera & Dakota Fanning At The 2012 GLAAD Media Awards

On Saturday night, the 2012 Glaad Media Awads were held in New York City. Naya Rivera was the host, joined by Glee co-star Cory Monteith. Naya donned a red silk satin dress with ruffled bodice which cascaded down the back by Moschino, from the Fall 2011 collection. The dress with ruffled hemline was teamed with black pointed-toe pumps by Louboutin and a Stark clutch. The actress wore her hair in a chic updo, stud earrings by Le Vian finished her look. Later, while hosting the award show, Naya wore a navy embroidered Mandalay dress, paired with black Giuseppe Zanotti pumps. 

  

Dakota Fanning also walked the blue carpet at the Glaad Awards. The actress looked beautiful in a cream halter dress with beaded pattern by Halston. The wrap-like dress was paired with gold strappy sandals by Manolo Blahnik and a Salvatore Ferragamo box clutch. A simple straight hairstyle, flawless make-up and a gold bracelet completed Dakota's look.

Pixie Lott attended the Tesco Magazine Mum Of The Year 2012 event, held in honour of Mother's Day on Saturday. The singer opted for a signature quirky look by Moschino. Her Resort 2012 ensemble included an asymmetrical LBD and a jacket which was accented with smile-appliqués and googly eye buttons. Pixie Lott paired her Moschino look with a cute matching suede smiley clutch and seafoam-green platform pumps. Wavy locks finished the cute look.

Report • Katy Perry's Fall 2012 Paris Fashion Week

Katy Perry has been in Paris for Fall 2012 Paris Fashion week and made several fashionable appearances during the week. The singer had been enjoying some 'me'-time following her unexpected divorce in January. Lets check out all Katy's looks!


Katy Perry arrived in France on Wednesday, donning head-to-toe All Saints. The singer tried to go incognito but her blue hair sort of made her pop out in the crowd. Katy paired skinny leather jeans with a printed top and a quilted leather jacket. She also sported All Saints ankle boots and scarf. Katy's hair was in a simple updo, she sported huge sunglasses and glittery hoop earrings. On Thursday, Katy stepped out in a Vera Wang ensemble that made me shiver, since it is quite cold in Europe. She returned to her hotel in a sheer mint drawstring shirt and a matching peplum vest and hot pants. For a pop of colour (besides the hair), Katy added a coral Jimmy Choo bag, she also wore Louboutin sandals. 

  

On Friday, Katy went for dinner at La Maison du Caviar. The singer showed off some boobage in in a gold beaded Balmain Spring 2012 dress with plunging neckline. It's like her plunge is going to give in any moment. Katy styled her dress with her Louboutin sandals and a box clutch by Salvatore Ferragamo. Still, the blue hair is an issue for me. At the Viktor & Rolf Fall 2012 presentation Katy was a vision in blue again. The singer opted for a wave-inspired black silk dress with a cobalt blue silk jacket. Katy styled her ensemble with blue Casadei pumps and a quirky Louboutin clutch from the capsule collection. I have to say, I love this look!

  

On Monday, Katy attended the Yves Saint Laurent Fall 2012 runway show. Katy wore leather black leggings with a green dropwaist dress. She styled her ensemble with a black biker jacket, a big black belt and a gold chain necklace and cuff. Katy's hair was up in a top knot, the singer also carried a clutch. On Tuesday, Chanel presented the newest collection at the Grand Palais. Katy also came out for this show. The 27-year-old looked fashionable in a black dress with lace insets in the bodice. The dress also featured a full skirt with lace hemline and full skirt. Katy accessorized with heeled ankle boots, a Chanel chain wallet purse and a small hat pinned to her electric blue locks. A pink pout and Chanel pearl earrings finished her look.

  

Katy also went shopping at Le Collete Carnaval in Paris on Tuesday evening. She looked super cute in a make-up print Moschino Cheap & Chic Fall 2012 dress. The quirky dress was paired with a blush pink coat, also by Moschino Cheap & Chic. Katy also sported pink ankle-strap pumps, a pink Edie Parker clutch and glitter shades by Miu Miu. A pink pearl necklace completed this look. On Wednesday, Katy made her last front row appearance at Miu Miu's Fall/Winter show. The Part Of Me-singer looked girly in a light pink Prada dress with red flame print on the pleated skirt and bow-detail in the waist, paired with a baby blue overcoat. Katy's Prada flame heels matched her skirt. Katy's hair was in a fun high ponytail, she wore her signature pink lip shade. A light-blue Prada bag finished the look. So why Prada to Miu Miu??

Red Carpet Report • The 2012 BAFTA Awards

Last night, the 2012 BAFTA Awards took place in London, at the Royal Opera House. 


Jessica Chastain was a nominee for her role in The Help and looked gorgeous in a pleated gown with plunging neckline from the Oscar de la Renta Pre-Fall 2012 collection. The actress paired her dress with beautiful sparkling embellished Jimmy Choo sandals. The actress let her red tresses down and accessorized with a layered statement necklace by Harry Winston. What a shimmery ensemble. 

  

Actress Michelle Williams made a surprising red carpet choice, she opted for a custom H&M Conscious Collection gown. The dress had an ivory bodice, black skirt and a subtle flower appliqué at the waist. Although you could call this dress plain, it was saved by styling. Michelle carried an Olympia Le-Tan clutch, a Forevermark collar necklace and opted for bold red lips and a dark manicure. 

  

Christina Ricci stood out on the red carpet in a shiny gold capsleeve gown with a ruffled neckline by Givenchy. The front-splitted dress had a gorgeous cut and a beautiful colour, but Christina seems too petite to pull off this look. The Bel Ami-actress wore her hair up in a simple bun, she styled her gown with diamond statement jewels, strappy sandals and a deep red pout. 

  

Melissa George looked stunning in a sensational liquid Victoria Beckham Spring 2009 gown. The actress also carried a fringed clutch and wore bright pink lippie. Her hair was up in a retro wavy do. I love this! 

  

TV personality Fearne Cotton donned a salmon pink long-sleeved Moschino gown, with a black bow belt at the waist and bejeweled neckline. Fearne styled her hair in a faux-bob, she opted for statement eye make-up in diamond jewelry. 

  

Viola Davis was another vision in pink, the actress opted for a custom one-shoulder gown by Valentino with a high split. The split shows off her Jimmy Choo platform sandals. Viola accessorized with a diamond bracelet and matching drop earrings. Her hair was in a curly style. 

  

Kristen Wigg opted for a chic but simple look. She wore a white silk gown by Alberta Ferretti. The strapless gown was paired with a stack of bracelets, a dark manicure and glossy curls. Like I said, simple and chic.  

  

Young actress Shailene Woodley walked the red carpet in a pale pink D&G tulle gown with floral appliqués. Shailene teamed her gown with matching strappy sandals by Jimmy Choo and minimal jewelry. Her hair was in a ballerina-like topknot, she also opted to wear a lavender lipshade. 

  

BAFTA's Best Supporting Actress Octavia Spencer opted to wear one of her favourite designers again: she walked the red carpet in another Tadashi Shoji custom ensemble. The actress wore a floral-detail black silk skirt, paired with a tailored white shirt. She accessorized with a black YSL belt, a red Judith Leiber clutch and Martin Katz jewels. I'm not sure how I feel about this look, I don't think the ensemble accentuates her figure in the right way. 

  

Tilda Swinton rocked a chic white Celine Pre-Fall 2012 ensemble. She paired her Celine look with embellished sandals, a retro hairdo and a Pomellato cocktail rings. So minimalistic chic. 

  

Spanish beauty Penelope Cruz also was spotted at the BAFTA's. The actress wore a strapless gown with a cascading draped detail by Armani Prive. She accessorized with silver jewelry, her hair was in an updo with bangs. Still not loving those. 

  

Harry Potter's Bonnie Wright also attended the show, she donned a vintage polka-dot dress, styled with black tights and Prada accessories. Bonnie's hair was in a sleek style, she also opted for a deep red lip shade.
