Red Carpet Report • The 64th Annual Directors Guild Of America Awards

On Saturday, the 64th Annual Directors Guild Of America Awards were held at the Grand Ballroom at Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood.

Shailene Woodley was spotted at the 64th Annual Directors Guild of America Awards held in Hollywood on Saturday in a floor-length Valentino Spring 2012 lace embroidered gown with ruffled cap sleeves. The actress decided to wear a black strapless underlay by Hervé Legér which totally ruined the look for me, she should have worn a nude design. Shailene teamed her gown with Jimmy Choo flats and a side braid. Love for the braid!

Jennifer Aniston was another lady that attended the 64th Annual Directors Guild of America Awards. The actress donned her signature little black dress by Dolce & Gabbana, this time a strapless one with an embellished floral pattern. Jennifer paired her dress with strap sandals by Celine and a Salvatore Ferragamo envelope clutch. Her hair was down in a straight layered style, she opted for neutral make-up.

One of my fashion-crushes, Amber Heard, flaunted her curves in a navy silk Spring 2012 Roland Mouret gown. The gown was accented with flaps, a high split in the front and a plunging back. The gown was paired with black peep-toes. Amber wore her hair in a voluminous style and wore neutral make-up. Love.

Although Michelle Williams skipped the red carpet, she did wear a beautiful Chanel Couture gown from the 2007 collection. The gown featured stunning embellishments in silver, navy, gold and green in the bodice and the split and also an embellished appliqué on the shoulder. Michelle styled her dress with black pumps, diamond stud earrings, a diamond bracelet and a diamond ring.

Berenice Bejo opted for a Gucci Spring 2012 black and gold dress from the collection we have seen many times on the red carpet. It was a perfect fit for the actress! The flapper style dress was paired with strappy Gucci sandals and a black and gold Gucci clutch which matched her dress. Berenice wore golden make-up, her hair was swept into a curly ponytail.

Helen Mirren looked beautiful in a Badgley Mischka Spring 2011 gown, but it was a re-run from the 2011 Golden Globes and for me that's a no go to a big event like the DGA's. The yellow gown featured embellished cold shoulders and draped detailing. Helen's hair was in a chic updo, she opted to accessorize with diamond statement earrings and a matching yellow-gold clutch.

Kathleen Robertson walked the red carpet in a sleek black gown with patent leather detailing by Ronald Abdala. She paired her gown with a black clutch and large diamond statement earrings. The actress wore her hair in a chic updo. As for the make-up, Kathleen opted for a reddish lip shade. I do think the make-up looks a little freaky around the eyes and nose.

Missi Pyle looked like she had opted to wear her night gown on the red carpet. Although the Chagoury Couture cocktail dress had a beautiful lacy design, it just made me think of a négligée. I'm not a big fan of her accessory-choice either, the actress opted for a dark clutch and nude embellished pumps: no. Missi's hair did look good, though. She wore her hair down in long glossy curls.

So then again, if I have to choose my favourite: Amber Heard!
Who was yours?
