Taylor Swift wore a beautiful J.Mendel couture gown. The ice blue silk gown had feathered organza detailing and a gathered tulle overlay. Taylor wore her hair in a sophisticated ponytail and as a final touch wore Lorraine Schwartz chandelier earrings. This is a dress in which is just too much going on. Taylor took home the Entertainer of the Year award.
Jennifer Nettles looked great in a silk-chiffon column gown by Naeem Khan from the Fall 2011 collection. The beaded gown featured a blouson bodice and a tulip skirt which was draped beautifully at the hips. Jennifer carried a Kotur clutch and wore her hair in a chic updo.
Female Vocalist of the Year Miranda Lambert walked the red carpet with hubbie Blake Shelton. Miranda opted for a custom strapless Haute Hippie gown with Swarovski crystal embellishments all over, wow! The singer wore her hair back in a gorgeous updo and accessorized with a silver sparkly clutch and disc earrings.
LeAnn Rimes also walked the red carpet in Nashville. The singer was decked out in a grey lace gown with a ruffled train and a tiered bodice by Badgley Mischka. She teamed her gown with a matching quilted clutch. Her hair was in a half-up style and she wore dramatic eye make-up.
Kellie Pickler opted for a cap-sleeve beaded gown by Pamella Roland. She paired the silver gown with floral encrusted earrings and an oversized ring. Her hair was in frizzy curls. I love this look, apart from the hair.
Gorgeous Faith Hill wore a three-quarter-length sleeve Chado Ralph Rucci Spring 2012 dress which was fully beaded. The dress appears to be simple but featured etched out panels on the back. Faith's hair was in a voluminous bouffant and she opted for cat-eye make-up. Love this!
Nicole Kidman accompanied hubbie Keith Urban to the award show. Nicole wore a sensational metallic grey beaded column gown by Jean Paul Gaultier. But I totally hated the styling. The clutch Nicole carried is quite okay. And then we have the Fred Leighton floral choker and black pointy pumps. Why, oh why? I'm confused. As for Nicole's hair, that looked good in a smooth style. Nicole's make-up consisted of metallic eye-shadow and pink lippie.
