Red Carpet Report • The 2012 ESPY Awards

Last night, the 2012 ESPY Awards were held at the Nokia Theatre in LA. An ESPY Awards is short for Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly Award. The awards honour big sport achievements.

Jessica Biel presented Best Breakthrough Athlete yesterday. The actress looked stunning in a white Christian Dior Resort 2013 dress. The sleeveless dress with voluminous skirt was paired with Nicholas Kirkwood for Roksanda Ilinic Spring 2012 heels with neon heel. A retro-style ponytail and smoky eyes completed the look.

  

Hayden Pannettiere also stepped out for the ESPY Awards. The actress sparkled in a lace Giorgio Armani gown with bead embroideries. The strapless pale aqua dress with ruffled neckline and plunging open back was styled with a matching clutch and suede crystalized B by Brian Atwood pumps. Diamond jewels, tumbling side-swept curls and a glossy pink pout provided the finishing touches for Hayden's look.

 

Zooey Deschanel dazzled on the red carpet in Oscar de la Renta. Her sleeveless gold sequined sheath dress was adorned in the waist with a wide red belt. Zooey styled her dress with metallic pointed-toe Sergio Rossi pumps, a glittery gold box clutch by Edie Parker and flower earrings by Rebecca Designs. A retro teased updo, held together by a black headband and kohl-rimmed eyes wrapped up Zooey's look.

 

Cody Horn also walked the red carpet yesterday evening. The actress donned a figure-hugging Cushnie et Ochs Fall 2012 dress. The cream cocktail dress with a criss-cross neckline and edgy zipper trimming was styled with black strappy sandals by Jimmy Choo. Cody wore her hair in a slicked-back do, she completed her look with a light pink lip shade.

 

Olivia Munn went for a summery lilac Armani dress. The actress went for a simple scoopneck tank dress, which hugged her figure. Olivia styled her silk dress very minimal, only adding rosegold Bulgari drop earrings and a matching bangle. A smooth side-parted hairstyle and barely-there make-up finished Olivia's look.

  

Maria Sharapova accepted the Best Tennis Player award. The tennis star looked gorgeous in a blue silk-chiffon J. Mendel Resort 2012 gown. The pleated gown with thigh-high split and cut-out details looked lovely on Maria's athletic body. Maria styled her gown with metallic Jimmy Choo sandals and Lara Bohnic jewels. A teased but chic updo and elegant make-up provided the finishing touches for Maria's look.

Spot • Kristen Stewart & Charlize Theron At CinemaCon 2012

Kristen Stewart and Charlize Theron have started promoting their new movie Snow White And The Huntsman. Together, they attended CinemaCon 2012 at the Caesars Palace in Las Vegas with the director of the movie, Rupert Sanderson. Kristen looked beautiful in a Cushnie et Ochs Pre-Fall 2012 dress. The belted mini with flared skirt with white insets was paired with Christian Louboutin Pigalle pumps, multiple rings and a double wrapped leather bracelet. The actress wore her hair down in a wavy style, smoky eye make-up completed her look. Co-star Charlize opted for a more simple look. The South-African actress opted for black jeans and a lacy black top, teamed with an ivory Balmain Spring 2012 blazer and black pumps.

Red Carpet Report • The 2012 Elle Women In Music Awards

The 3rd Annual Elle Women In Music Awards were held at the Avalon in Hollywood on Wednesday. 


Ellie Goulding looked very rocker-ish on the red carpet. The British singer wore a black Maison Martin Margiela biker jacket with flame-detailing on the back, paired with leather J Brand pants. Underneath the jacket, Ellie donned a black cut-out bodysuit by Cushnie et Ochs. Her look was finished with Giancarlo pumps with PVC accents and multiple gold statement rings. 

  

Nicole Scherzinger wore a skin-baring Tony Ward Spring Summer 2012 dress from the Couture collection. The blue embellished dress with wide open back was paired with suede platform pumps by Jimmy Choo and a  snake-skin Swarovski clutch. The singer wore her hair up in a high ponytail, what showed off her bare back. Hooped earrings completed Nicole's look. 

  

Candice Accola wore a summery patchwork dress with asymmetrical hemline. The maxi with lace detailing was paired with tan leather clogs. The actress wore her hair in a beautiful braided updo. I love Candice's earrings, dangling green statements!

  

Jessie J, oh my, is also participating in the ombre hair trend. The singer walked the red carpet in a latex dress by Luis Heal for Luxury Latex. The long-sleeve leopard-print dress with gold zip detail along the sleeves was paired with black suede ankle booties by Dolce Vita. Jessie accessorized with a vintage gold Chanel Lion Head necklace. For her performance, the singer donned a custom hot pink leopard catsuit by Alice Vandy. She styled her catsuit with her favourite Jeffrey Campbell spiked ankle boots and a leather biker jacket. 

  

Oh Land joined in on the pajama trend on Wednesday. The singer opted for a yellow silk floral-print shirt with matching pants, paired with a faux fur jacket by Kenzo. Oh Land paired her Pre-Fall 2012 ensemble with chunky black wedges, her hair was down in a wavy style. Without the heavy fluffy jacket, this look would have been better.

Spot • Katy Perry At NOBU London

Katy Perry dined out at NOBU London with friends on Sunday evening. The singer opted for a triangular cut-out dress with pleated full skirt by Cushnie et Ochs, from the 2012 Spring collection. Again, Katy just had to find something that would match her hair, so she wore blue-laced Versace Resort 2012 leather boots. When it was getting cold outside, Katy also wore a metallic cropped top.

Spot • Eva Longoria & Friends At The Vanity Fair & Chrysler Celebration Of The Eva Longoria Foundation

Eva Longoria hosted the Vanity Fair and Chrysler Celebration of the Eva Longoria Foundation. The actress looked stunning in a Cushnie et Ochs Spring 2012 look with a plunging neckline. Eva paired her black dress with satin pumps by Brian Atwood and a simple black clutch. Her hair was in a voluminous updo, she wore statement eye make-up. Her look was completed with a nude lip shade. 

  

Victoria Beckham was there to support her best friend. Victoria of course wore a piece from her own collection. The designer wore a bright blue dress with maroon collar and cuffs. The Fall 2012 dress was styled with a leather belt wrapped around her waist and over-the-knee boots with open toes. Just like in London, Victoria wore her hair in a side-swept ponytail with a few strands framing her face. 

  

Kate Beckinsale also attended the celebration. She looked good in a vibrant pink dress by Alexander McQueen, from the Spring 2008 collection. The actress donned a knee-length dress with a draped detail in the front which was adorned with a black belt in the waist. Kate paired her dress with Jimmy Choo pumps and a shiny Kotur clutch. Her hair was in a teased ponytail. The actress completed her look with M.L.C. earrings. 

  

Kathleen Robertson wore a neon pink satin one-shoulder dress by Nicole Miller. The asymmetrical dress was paired with taupe ankle boots by Giuseppe Zanotti, a matching Judith Leiber clutch and statement jewelry by Vanessa Liu. Kathleen's hair was in a wavy updo.

Red Carpet Report • 5th Annual ESSENCE Black Women In Hollywood Luncheon

On  Thursday, ESSENCE hosted its 5th annual Black Women in Hollywood luncheon to honour ESSENCE's March covergirl and to celebrate all stars who have strengthened the position of black women worldwide through their work. The event was held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in LA. 


Guest of honour, Kerry Washington looked beautiful in a white dress by Cushnie et Ochs Spring 2012. The long-sleevedress featured a ruffled peplum-waist and a knee-length skirt. Kerry paired her dress with a Kate Spade clutch and bright red platform pumps by Brian Atwood. Her hair was swept back and a vivid red lip shade completed her look. Paula Patton also dressed in white, the actress donned a body-hugging white Marchesa dress. The short-sleeve dress with lace detailing at the bodice seemed a little tight on Paula, although that might be her red carpet pose which makes her look awkward. Paula paired her dress with shiny pointed-toe pumps, her hair was in a half-up, half-down style. She topped off her look with a black mani and deep red lippie. 

  

Emma Stone also was a vision in white at the luncheon. The actress wore a beautiful white cocktail dress with floral appliqué and bow-detailed belt by Elie Saab, from the Spring/Summer 2012 haute couture collection. The 23-year-old paired her full-skirt dress with nude peep-toes by Brian Atwood and a woven clutch. She accessorized with Van Cleef & Arpels jewelry. Love it! Tatyana Ali went for a nude cocktail dress by White Trash Beautiful with an embroidered bodice with cut-out detail and tight shiny skirt. The sleeveless dress was paired with suede peep-toe pumps by Gucci. 

  

Jennifer Beals also attended the luncheon. The actress opted for a Rue du Mail Fall 2011 dress with a flared hemline. Jennifer's dress featured an intricate red and grey print at the bodice. She teamed her dress with matching duo-colour pumps and a black clutch. Her hair was swept into a low ponytail. Jordin Sparks looked beautiful in a sparkly V-neck Diane von Furstenberg dress with a wrap-like bow detail in the waist. The singer styled her dress with black D&G pumps and earrings by Lexi Liu. A high, curly ponytail finished off her look. 

  

Octavia Spencer mixed things up on the black carpet, donning a leopard-printed skirt by Tadashi Shoji and a white button-down shirt with a black patent YSL belt. The actress paired her look with purple fringe sandals and a croco clutch. Her hair was down in wavy curls, she topped off her look with bold earrings. Co-star Viola Davis went for a simple look, she donned an off-white Victoria Beckham dress with a wide V-neckline and three-quarter length sleeves. The over-the-knee dress was paired with black satin Giuseppe Zanotti heels,  a simple box clutch and a stack of bangles.
