Hostess Jane Lynch wore a very flattering gown on the red carpet. The actress opted for a red halter gown by David Meister with a fitted wrap-like bodice and a flowing skirt. Jane paired her gown with strappy sandals and a stack of bangles. Jane wore statement eye make-up, her look was completed with statement earrings.
Actress Penelope Ann Miller was back in the 80s with her floor-length gold gown with a layered wrap-skirt and giant keyhole accent by IZMAYLOVA. The keyhole uncovered a sequined under dress. Penelope styled her gown with a black clutch and gold statement earrings.
Chloe Moretz also attended the Costume Designers Guild Awards, donning Vivienne Westwood Couture. The 15-year-old walked the purple carpet in a metallic corset dress with asymmetric hem and gathered detail at the hip. The actress also debuted new pink streaks in her hair, which contrasted with the dress. She paired her dress with snakeskin sandals by Jimmy Choo. I don't feel like this dress is the one for a fifteen-year-old.
Madeleine Stowe was opted to wear the Fall/Winter 2011 halterneck gown by Monique Lhuillier. The gown featured a crisscrossing detail at the bodice, which seemed to be slipping off of her. Madeleine let her thick curls cascade down her shoulders, a look that was too heavy for the dress. She completed her look with large embellished earrings.
Amber Valletta made a very successful return to the red carpet. The supermodel looked gorgeous in a coral-hue Roland Mouret dress with pleating on the neckline and cut-out details on the back. Amber also opted for some fabulous footwear. The model wore peep-toe sandals with intricate wedges. Her hair was in a tight updo, a red lip colour with matching pedicure completed the look.
Ellie Kemper went for a eye-catching blue striped dress. The actress donned a strapless cocktail dress from Giorgio Armani's Spring/Summer 2012 collection. Ellie's folded dress was paired with satin Brian Atwood pumps and a black Swarovski clutch. Her hair was in a messy updo, with wispy bangs and loose strands. Although it seems like the dress is a little too big on her, I appreciate the effort.
Kate Becksinsale took home the Lacoste Spotlight Award and she looked beautiful. The actress walked the purple carpet in a gorgeous ice blue and grey off-the-shoulder gown by Vivienne Westwood with a draped detail on the back. The gown with corset bodice was paired with Salvatore Ferragamo platform heels and a Kotur clutch. The actress wore her hair in a braided updo, her look was finished with Bochic jewels.
Ashley Madekwe looked cute in a black skater dress by Hervé Léger by Max Azria. The Revenge-star's styling of the simple A-line dress made the look successful. Ashley teamed her dress with black suede ankle-strap platform heels and a glossy clutch. Her hair was down in soft curls.
Rooney Mara looked gorgeous in a deep plum J.Mendel Fall 2012 dress. The actress really rocked the dramatic dress with the plunging neckline. She paired her dress with nude suede T-strap platform sandals by Prada. Rooney styled her dress by wearing her hair in a lacquered style with a side-parted ponytail, the 26-year-old also went for a dark blackberry lip shade. Loving this!
My favourites are Kate and Rooney! Yours?
