Wizkid & Ice Prince Elated At Being Nominated For Best International Act: Africa, For The 2012 BET Awards.

Nigerian musical superstars, Wizkid and Iceprince, have been nominated for the 2012 edition of Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards holding on 1st July, 2012, at the Shrine Auditorium, in Los Angeles. The award will be hosted by top US actor, Samuel L. Jackson.

Nicki Minaj and Chris Brown would be performing at the awards. There would also be a tribute for late US singer, Whitney Houston.

You may recall as well, that our very own D'banj and 2Face Idibia, are past BET award winners.

Wizkid and Iceprince reacted to their nominations via twitter thus:

A joyous Wizkid stated, "big shoutout to my fans, my family, my team, EME/Konvict and my manager. We [are] making it happen. God bless you all!

An equally joyful Iceprince, could also not hide his excitement on his recognition by BET. The Jos bred Choc City/Loopy Records artiste first of all marvelled, "Wow! Big shoutout and congratz to my whole management team and label!! Chocolate City, CBN, Loopy."

His appreciation evident, Iceprince further stated, "shout out to Nigerian DJs, we [are] getting there."Shout out to the whole BET Team! Thanks for recognising the African Music scene and giving it a platform. Shout out to all the blogs, media houses, music stores, promoters, DJs, everybody!

Yet in another sober reflection, Iceprince continued, "this excitement is real!
Sad there is a limit to how much noise I can make in a transit hotel! I wish they were both alive to hear this news! But God knows best [than] I know"

And finally, in a show of love to other nominees in his category, Iceprince declared, "big congrats to the other nominees, especially the once in the same category [with me]! We all [have to] see each other grow".

Awwww...bless!!!
